Review: Bright red. Smoky red berries and cherry on the nose, with a hint of anise that gains strength with air. Light in body but chewy in texture, offering bitter cherry and redcurrant flavors framed by dusty tannins. Nicely focused but a bit ungiving today. Some air helped this to flesh ...

Review: Cloudline wines are a project of importer Dreyfus Ashby, vinified with guidance from DDO’s Veronique Drouhin. It’s a professional product, clean and straightforward, with tart red fruits and striking acidity. The tannins, ripe and firm, provide some finishing heft. —P.G
We are excited to announce the 2011 Cloudline Pinot Noir. It is the tenth vintage of this highly acclaimed Pinot Noir and
it now carries the premium Willamette Valley appellation.
Also, for the first time, Cloudline has been bottled in the new Eco Series™ bottle, which keeps the elegant look and feel of the classic Burgundy-shaped bottle but uses 20% less glass. And Cloudline enthusiasts will notice the refreshed label design, a nice update to the instantly recognizable blue label.
Oregon 2011: 2011 will be remembered as Oregon’s latest growing season ever. But a cool and wet September turned into a dry and moderately warm October in the Willamette Valley. Harvest lasted into November, allowing for full maturity and excellent flavor development. It was a long road, but by all accounts, 2011 is an excellent year in Oregon
The 2011 Cloudline Pinot Noir has bright, fresh character, lovely mouth feel, and the unmistakable elegance that we love in Pinot Noir. On the palate, there is a delicious array of red and black fruits, framed by very good structure. True to Cloudline and the vintage, the 2011 Pinot Noir brings a classic sensibility to new world fruit.
Pinot Noir is well-suited to pair with poultry, beef, fish, ham, lamb and pork. It will play well with creamy sauces, spicy seasonings and may just be one of the world’s most versatile food wines.
